PA CHARLESTON — The Charleston Township Board of Supervisors acknowledged a $200,000 budget overrun in line 437.37, exceeding the allocated amount by more than 10 percent. Resident Cleo Warren flagged the variance and questioned whether the township's healthcare insurance program was formalized by ordinance or resolution; Board member Gary Phelps responded that the decision dated to approximately 1978 but was uncertain of its formal authorization. The board approved the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection's NPDES permit for UGI's S.

Elk Run Road gas line replacement project. The board also discussed updates to the township's comprehensive plan and considered a mineral lease proposal from Seneca Resources for the former landfill site.
