Board seeks funding for Mills Hill Road bridge replacement

PA CHARLESTON — Charleston Township Board unanimously advances bridge replacement and mineral extraction zoning. The board voted to pursue state and federal funding for Mills Hill Road bridge replacement, with Tioga County Commissioner Marc Rice set to submit the project when the Transportation Improvement Program reopens in October. The supervisors unanimously directed the township solicitor to draft a zoning amendment for mineral extraction and approved a memorandum of agreement with Codes Assessment Professionals to issue building permits, requiring floodplain permits be issued through CAP.
