Charleston Board Organizes for 2026, Approves Compensation Increases

PA CHARLESTON — Charleston Board of Supervisors organizes for 2026, sets raises and approves contested library donation. The board elected Mark Starkweather as Chairman and approved 2.8 percent raises for one full-time Class 11 operator and Secretary/Treasurer Patricia A. Reese.
A $3,000 one-time donation to the Wellsboro Green Free Library passed by a 2-2 vote, with Supervisors Kyle Wheatley and Mark Starkweather opposed. The board also set a $50 monthly cell phone reimbursement for full-time employees and approved a slate of TCC Act 32 delegates. ===BRIEF===
