Charleston Township Board approves fuel price bids

misc · Meeting of May 18, 2026

PA CHARLESTON — Charleston Township Board unanimously approves gasoline and fuel oil purchase bids at set prices. Board members Kyle Wheatley, Mark Starkweather, and Gary Phelps, along with Secretary Patricia A. Reese, approved gasoline at $3.67 per gallon from WOC Energy and fuel oil at $3.93 per gallon from Flynn Energy.

Residents during public comment raised concerns about liability insurance coverage for Dale Collins, who provides mowing services for the township cemeteries and building, and requested removal from the township website of an auditor's letter regarding the 2025 audit that disputed a related memo. The board said it would consult with the township solicitor on both matters and scheduled a future meeting with CAP to update zoning and subdivision ordinances.
