Board Approves Supervisor Pay Raise, Solid Waste Ordinances

PA CHARLESTON — Charleston Board of Supervisors approves ordinances updating supervisor pay and solid waste procedures. Mark Starkweather, Gary Phelps, Kyle Wheatley, and Patricia A. Reese, Secretary, unanimously approved Ordinance #163 amending supervisor compensation and Ordinance #164 updating solid waste collection and disposal procedures.

The board accepted the resignation of Auditor Stacey Champaign, who served eighteen years, and tabled appointment of a successor until February 2, with Carmen Toby and Amanda Collins expressing interest in the position. The board also unanimously approved two subdivisions: the Irion subdivision contingent on an easement agreement, and the County of Tioga subdivision.
